Many people are not familiar with or haven’t got enough time to change the oil on their car so they take it to those quick oil change shops. The air filter was slightly discolored so they insisted it was beginning to clog. However, I told them that I replaced the filter merely six months ago and their answer was that I would need to change it in another six months.

The thing that irritated me was that they initially explained to me that the filter would have to be changed. Then their argument changed when I mentioned that it wasn’t that old. This just illustrates how dishonest and evil these people are.

Yet another time, one of these stores swapped out my transmission fluid. Pretty much every time you visit these places, they will let you know that your transmission fluid will also need to be changed. Once, as soon as they told me, I allowed them to do it. Then, after I went back to have my oil changed several months later, they told me I seriously needed to have my transmission fluid changed. Since that time, I have found a reputable mechanic who is honest that can work on my car. One thing that I learned is a lot of the employees who work at these quick oil change places are not trained to fix cars, they just know how to con people.
